Shirley G. Cohen

Shirley was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and the beaches and a lifetime member of the Jacksonville Beach Women’s Club where she chaired the Antique Show numerous times.. She was a longtime member of the Temple. Shirley was involved with her husband in the Real Estate Business. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was her delight and she cherished those times.

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Melvin Cohen, her twin sister, Lois Peltz and her dear friend Leonard Garten.

Surviving are two children, Ronnie (Jerry) Patterson and Danny (Marcia) Cohen, four grandchildren, Beth Rood, Laura Fitterman, Lee Cohen and Matthew Cohen, three great-grandchildren, Michelle, Emily and Sarah and many dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 20th at 10:30 am at Evergreen Cemetery, Temple Section.

Memorials in her name may be directed to Jewish Family and Community Services, River Garden or the charity of one’s choice.
