

Shirley Ann VanBenschoten Oliver, 80, of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 14, 2013 after suffering an accident in her home on July 27, 2012. Shirley was born February 22, 1932 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Lester & Edith (Johnson) VanBenschoten. Shirley graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and was employed by Southern Bell, Tel & Tel Co., prior to becoming a homemaker and enjoying a long career in fashion. She had a special love for her dogs and animals of all kinds. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Bobby V. Mouro, Sr. and her beloved dog Babe. Shirley is survived by her son; Joseph J. Oliver, Jr., siblings; William Billy Mouro (Cynthia) of Jacksonville, FL., Harriet Holladay of Jacksonville, Florida; nephews; William Billy Mouro, Jr., of Jacksonville, Lester E. Mouro of Jacksonville, Mark A. Mouro (Tamie) of Jacksonville, Robert V. (Jan) Mouro, Jr. of Morrisville NC., Nieces; Tami Mouro Traster (Keath) of Leesburg, VA., Teri Mouro Sherman (Jerry) of Westfield, NJ., many great nieces and nephews. Shirley is also survived by her precious dog, Darlee. A graveside service will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, January 26, 2013. A reception will follow at a family home.
