

Shirley Ann Rich, 73, of Jacksonville FL, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 15, 2018 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by loving family and friends. Shirley was born on September 1st, 1945. The daughter of Roy and Veda White, sister of Betty Autrey (Buck). Shirley will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband J.W Rich, daughter Selina Dixon, and brother Roy White. Shirley was survived by her sons, Lee (Sheri), Warren, and Wesley (Gwen), Grandchildren Leslie (John), Veda (J.W.), Justin (Brittany), Britney (Justin), Shane (Jennifer) Tori (Corey), Devon; Great grandchildren Josalynn, Jordan, Brycen and Carter.
Shirley showed such kindness in her lifetime. Shirley spent many years working at FCCJ where she retired. She was a charter member at Electric Rhythm Cloggers, the seamstress and the historian. She loved her pets, clogging, cooking and baking, fishing, collecting antiques, bingo, scrap booking, sewing, going to yard sales, Shirley Temple, Betty Boop, and spending time with her loving family. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, infectious smile and laughter.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 18, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin, with Rev. Lee Whitaker officiating. A reception will follow at the Moose Lodge, Chapter #2134, 9703 Lem Turner Road, Jacksonville 32208.
