Steven Kyle "Bear" Frezza

Steven Kyle Frezza, affectionately known as Bear to his family and friends, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Kyle, as he was often most referred to by name, was born on August 13, 1984, in Jacksonville, Florida. Kyle was a graduate of Charles W. Flanagan High School (Pembroke Pines, FL) , class of 2003, and also attended college at Florida Culinary (West Palm Beach, FL), class of 2005. During his spare time, he enjoyed baseball, wrestling in his past, paintball, fishing, video games, and was known to be a magician at fixing electronics. Kyle was known to have a terrific and wicked sense of humor, loved telling jokes, and was extremely resilient and a fighter through his many illnesses. Kyle was a loved son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend and will be sorely and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kyle is preceded in death by his father, Windle G. Brooks, III; grandparents Jim and Charlotte Iames; grandmother Helen Joyce Brooks Love; and uncle Larry Lee Iames. He is survived by his mother Brenda Brooks; brother Thomas (TJ) Frezza (Riva) and two nephews Jet and Ford Frezza; three aunts Jamie Repper, Amanda Iames, and Joni Cusic (Doug); and extended family members Susan Sturges (Walter), Bonnie Tharp (Tracy), Windle Brooks, IV, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Kyle's life will be held on Friday, December 19th at 7:00 PM at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. The family will receive friends one-hour prior beginning at 6:00 PM.
