

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Ellisor, a beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Sylvia went to be with the Lord peacefully on August 21, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Sylvia was born in Columbia S.C. to parents Mamie and Walter Yarborough on November 25, 1939. Sylvia was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around her, and her presence will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through those who were fortunate to share in her life.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, her son, Keith and daughter Bridgit. She is survived by her sister, Peggy, brother-in-law, John, nephews, Rick, Mike, Dean, Gene Carter, niece Carolyn and other special nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close. Sylvia will also be remembered by countless wonderful friends and loved ones who were blessed to know her.
The service to celebrate Sylvia's life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge on Thursday August 28, 2025 at 1 PM, with visitation starting at 11 AM.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the support, kindness and prayers received during this difficult time. Sylvia will be remembered always with love, and her spirit will remain a guiding light in the lives of those she touched.
