Terry Nixten was born to Robert Lee Nixten Sr. and Patricia Gallagher (nee Fritz) in Columbus, Ohio. Terry served in the U.S. Marine Corps and attained the rank of E5 Sergeant. He served for 3 years, 11 months, and 2 days, before getting out just short of
his 4 years to attend The Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance. He was an avid Buckeyes fan all his life. Terry worked in the car business for many years selling and leasing cars. He worked for Member Benefits
Leasing, visiting credit unions and selling them his leasing program.
Terry moved to Jacksonville, Florida, in 1998, but continued to root for the Buckeyes. He eventually retired from his job as a Goodyear Store Manager in Jacksonville, Florida.
Known and loved for his optimism, outgoing personality, and great sense of humor, Terry enjoyed visiting beaches, reading novels, working on crossword puzzles, spending time with family and friends, watching golf tournaments, and cheering on his
beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.
