Born June 23, 1991, Tesla grew up in Nebraska where her bright spirit and boundless energy were evident from the start. She went on to attend Peru State College, where she graduated with a degree in health science. As a member of the softball team and the cross-country team, Tesla’s grit, drive, and joy in competition shone brightly. When she wasn’t running or playing ball, she could always be found surrounded by her many friends—laughing, connecting, and lighting up every room she entered. Tesla was the life of the party, a ball of energy, and a source of joy to all who knew her.
The greatest blessing of Tesla’s life came in the form of her beloved daughter, Harbor Lynn Davis. Harbor was Tesla’s heart, her joy, and her proudest accomplishment. Tesla poured her love and creativity into motherhood, cherishing every moment together.
Known for her generosity and thoughtfulness, Tesla never missed an opportunity to make those she loved feel special. She had a gift for giving—each present carefully chosen, each gesture a reminder of how deeply she cared. And she knew how to throw the best parties!
Tesla is survived by her great grandmother, Phyllis Furnas, her mother, Michele (Moe) Gadbois; her father, Gary Oldfield; her sister, Cameron (Ali) Applegate; her brother, Blake Oldfield; and her precious daughter, Harbor Lynn Davis. She will also be remembered by countless friends who were blessed by her laughter, her love, and her vibrant presence.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Eleven22 San Pablo Campus (doors open at 1:30 p.m.) 14286 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32250 After the service the family invites anyone who wants to join at Jacksonville Beach (between Joe’s Crab Shack and the lifeguard station), where family and friends will continue to honor Tesla’s memory together.
In lieu of flowers, Tesla requested that donations be made in her honor to Inheritance of Hope, a nonprofit serving families facing terminal illness. It was there that Tesla and Harbor found sweet community, encouragement, and connection in her final years. Or Nebraska Greats Foundation who lovingly and generously provided resources to support her care so she could continue to be the best mom for Harbor as long as possible.
Tesla’s legacy is one of joy, strength, generosity, and love. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
