Thelma Lee Hackett Strickland, 85, passed away on November 24, 2012. Born in Roswell, GA to the late Aubrey Lee and Cora Ann Etris Hackett, Thelma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a registered nurse before her career as home maker, raising her family. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, James A. Strickland, she is survived by her sons, Jim Strickland (Rita) and Chris Strickland (Pam); daughters, Judy Beffart (Mark) and Kathy McCann (Lee); sisters, Betty Lollar (Delmar) and Barbara Anders; 6 grandchildren and many other family members and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1st, with visitation one hour prior to service in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, followed by interment in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd.
