While none of us may be able to understand why your life here was cut so short, what we do know is you lived life to the fullest. Your care free spirit and "it's all good" personality made you the person so many loved. If only we had one more day to hear your incredible stories or just laugh at silliness. We will miss the nicknames you've come up for all of us. Juli=Buffalo, Shanon=Bird, Steph=Doffy, Michelle=ShelBurD, Chrissy=Christopher Robin, Liana=Lasagna, Makenzie= Kenzie Roo, Evan=E Man and even Gavin = Rooster, with Rylan always being the sweet angel. We're comforted knowing you're with our baby girl and perhaps this is the very reason you were called home so early. God has a plan and maybe his plan was for you to take care of your precious granddaughter. I'm incredibly jealous of the amazing snuggles you're getting and know that you're greatly missed here on earth. Watch over us all and we'll continue to make you proud. That was one thing you always told us all often! You're sorely missed Grandman. Until we see you again, watch over us and guide us with your light.

You know how when someone passes on you might feel like you have to say nice things about them because thats the right thing to do, even if they werent really all that nice? Well, with Thomas its the total opposite from that I cant say enough wonderful things about him because thats just the type of person he was: patient, gentle, kind, gracious, etc. 
In only a few short years during mostly short rides, he came to mean so much to me that I doubt the void he has left will ever be filled. From doing simple little things such as showing me how to distinguish the regular mailboxes from the ones for larger packages, to filling out short forms or reading sensitive information I trusted him with, he was happy to do whatever he could to help in any way possible and sometimes at a moments notice. He was content to ride with me in near silence at 5:30 in the morning after Id barely slept, or talk about skiing techniques or his family or friends of mine he remembered in detail after picking them up a year before he was just quietly present with me wherever I was emotionally. He became an angel to me on the day he went with me to the vet to put my first guide dog to sleep, stayed with me all throughout, and took me back home a grieving and absent mess who only realized after the fact that she didnt pay him for that trip. 
I only regret that there wasnt all the time in the world to get to know him better, but my hope is that he had an inkling of how much he was loved, needed and appreciated. Thank you, Thomas, for blessing my life with your gentle soul, and for showing me that the highest of all the human qualities can be attained through effort, faithfulness, and a willing, loving heart. 

Words don't suffice. I feel honored to have known Thomas and will cherish the memories. Like the time Lylli and I sang softly as to not disturb him, only to find Thomas loved it. The gentle yet fierce pride in his voice as he spoke of his daughters.

You are the love of my life. In our few years together we experienced more joy and happiness than some will experience in a lifetime. Thank you for adoring me and making me feel so special. I will cherish our wonderful memories forever! Love you with all my heart.

There is magic in the memories of best friends at 16 yrs old. The smiles we shared, the tastes we discovered, the outrageous ways we made it along those paths.  To travel with you my friend, even though our journey together was cut short (Alaska!), is forever etched in my mind and spirit. A huge smile on my face when I consider your promise to life - wherever you went, no matter what, life showed up as a huge grin and an adventurous never say never quest. Peace in your kingdom my friend.

Your love of music is what I will remember most Uncle Tommy. As I went through songs with Dad yesterday into the wee hours of this morning, I could see your air guitar strumming and your smile! You are missed so dearly, until we are all united again in heaven where the music  is incredible beyond human understanding. Oh, how God loves music! 

Please kiss sweet Rylan on her forehead from her Auntie Jenni and hold on to Betty P. and Granny's hands as you watch over us all from above!

Tom, Max always sought you out at gatherings and it made my heart melt. You would sit there, for hours, just listening intently to his imaginative stories of minecraft, star wars and autobots. He would always leave the event with new ideas and adventure stories from your conversations with the biggest smile. You were a kid a heart and will be missed dearly. Rest in peace.

Uncle Tommy~ you were one of a kind! You were the kind of Uncle that I could call on if I ever needed to. The one Uncle that has always treated me with nothing but respect and kindness. It didn't matter what kind of day you had or what kind of mood you were in, you would always make sure to have a big ole' smile and hug for me. Thank you for your talks and for letting me be me, with zero judgments! I could literally tell you anything and know that it would be kept between us! Love you Uncle Tommy, you will be missed here on earth but I know you're hanging with some pretty amazing people in Heavan!

I miss you more than words can express. I miss our dump trips that I was always so excited about, I wouldn't miss a single one. I miss telling you to make people stop looking at me. I miss you coaching me in soccer, taking me to every basketball game & screaming at every referee whether it was a bad call or not. I miss you making me take tennis lessons that I turned out loving. I miss listening to Francesca Bastistelli on repeat all summer. I miss you embarrassing me in public when you made me tuck in my shirt. I miss you telling Chelle to "blend" her makeup on the way to school. I miss you always being on my side even if I wasn't right. I miss coming home to you watching Casting Crowns live on TV. I miss you making the best guacamole. I miss the urge to call you and tell you when something happened or ask for advice. I will miss you making up the words to every song and every bad joke you ever told. I miss delivering water with you every weekend. I miss all of our favorite restaurant spots. I will even miss the times I was mad at you because I can no longer be mad at you, I can no longer laugh at your jokes, I can not get your hugs or hear you say "I love you buddy." I will be thinking of you when I walk down the aisle, when I build my first house, when I have my first child, and in every big & small moment of my life. 
I will hold onto all of our memories throughout my entire life. I am so thankful to call you my Dad. You were my best friend.

Gran-man you will be greatly missed. It was a pleasure knowing you and I know now we have another angel watching over us. Don't worry I will keep an eye on your beautiful and amazing daughters. Rock that baby for us. We love you and miss you!

I miss him so much! There is an emptiness that he filled up in my heart that now is empty. He was pure of spirit, love, friendship, kindness, caring and lived with love towards everybody. He was selfless and he was always there for me right up to the day he passed away. In fact, he texted me only a few short hours before. It was an honor to have shared so much time with Thomas. He loved us, he loved our dogs, he loved his children, family, friends and his girlfriend and he demonstrated love for everybody he knew. I feel like I'm leaving so much out, that I could never write enough to express my feelings. He told me once that we made blindness look easy but he always just treated me with kindness like any other person. I will miss Thomas and never will forget the lessons he taught us all by the way he lived his life and the generosity of how he shared himself with everybody. I could give so many examples but if you know Thomas, you will surely have numerous instances of your own to remember. Thank you, Thomas, for everything, you will be loved and missed always.

Dad, there are many things I'm going to miss about you. But most I'm going to miss the ridiculous jokes, the "I love you buddy's," the hugs, the long phone convos, breakfast at the beach hut, Mexican dinner dates, the inappropriate screaming at my sporting events, and the "shelbur d" song. Though I feel you were gone incredibly to soon, I know you will be there in spirit on my wedding day, as the "grandman" for my future children, and for the countless holidays and birthdays I am forced to spend without you. I am thankful for the time we have had the past 23 years and sooo thankful for our last phone conversation. You are my greatest supporter, my biggest fan, and the best dad a girl (or 5) could ask for. Take care daddio, I love you!

Uncle Tommy, words can't possibly express how much we all love you. You were the person to light up the room. Those corny jokes will be sorely missed. You knew exactly how to turn a frown upside down and I'm going to miss your hugs and your "I love you kiddo"s. I love your girls and I'll always remind them how much you loved them. Watch over us next to Grandma Betty and baby Rylan. We need all three of you angels to watch our backs and give us strength. ❤

Tommy meant the world to me. It's a complete shock to know he's gone.  Recently he called me and said he was on his way to Lafayette Louisiana and he would stop by and see  me on his way back. I never got to see him. Life is too short, love all that you can.   I love you Tommy, I will miss you dearly.
