

DAVIS, THOMAS ROBIN “T.R.” passed away at home on April 17th, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on May 15TH, 1949 in Waycross, Georgia to Robert H. Davis and Tommie Pittman. Robin attended Paxon Highschool . After highschool he worked for Pettybone Mechanical Corp and worked alongside his father at the family owned business. Later he proudly retired from the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office after 29 years of committed service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Chamber of Commerce. He loved to share his passion for Go-Kart racing, hunting and fishing with those he loved dearly. Robin is survived by the love of his life and wife of 45 years, Barbara Ann Brooker Davis. He leaves behind 5 daughters who loved him dearly; Andrea (Brian), Renee’ (John), Brooke (Terry), Annabelle (Eric), Amber (Brad); 24 grandchildren who loved their “Papaw” dearly and 3 Great Grandchildren. His 4 siblings Robert, Theresa, Barbara and Cheryl. The viewing will be held on Monday April 22nd 5-8 p.m. with a funeral service the following day Tuesday, April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage- Giddens 729 S. ***To say our dad will be truly missed would be an understatement. He gave when he didn’t have anything to give, defended the under-dogs, worked his fingers to the bone for his family, and loved unconditionally. He was a strong man with old southern values, a heart of gold and a unique sense of humor that was all it’s own.
