Thomas M. Fitzpatrick, Sr.

Thomas M Fitzpatrick Sr, age 83, passed away October 2, 2014, in Jacksonville, FL. He was a retired Firefighter Captain for the West New York, NJ Fire Department. Following retirement, he lived in Tucson AZ for 26 years, moving to Jacksonville, Florida in the spring of this year. Tom was a Navy Veteran who served during the Korean War. Surviving is his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy (née Wagner) Jacksonville; their children, Julia Pickren (Charles) Jacksonville; Thomas Jr. (Alicia) Kentucky; John (Kim) Delaware; and Eileen Wise, Oregon. He was the beloved grandfather of Charles Pickren (Lindsey), Tori Vincent (Nathan), Kayla Ballou (Chris), Andrew Fitzpatrick (Morgan), Shannon Skomorucha, John Fitzpatrick II, Devyn Fitzpatrick, and the late James Pickren. He was the loving great grandfather of Ashlyn Pickren, Blake Pickren, James Vincent and Sophia Fitzpatrick. Funeral services will be held at Tuesday, October 7, at 11:00 am inside St. Joseph’s Historic Catholic Church, 4214 Loretto Rd. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to St Jude Shrine, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, The American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
