Thomas Hill

Thomas "Tom" Hill of Jacksonville, Florida, born August 4, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 28, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of 62 years, daughters, Kelly (Sam) Ferguson, Betsy (Jeff) Houston and three grandchildren that were the loves of his life, Taylor, Cassidy, and Clayton. Tom was born to Edward and Clemma Hill and was the youngest of six children.

Tom and his buddy, Bill James, were avid coin collectors and could regularly be found swapping coins in various coin shops in Jacksonville. He also enjoyed supporting his grandchildren at their various sporting events.

Tom was a faithful member of Parkwood Baptist Church for 46 years. He served as a deacon, served in the Apartment Ministry alongside Larry Baumgardner, and until recently served with the Widows Ministry. Tom also enjoyed serving as Chaplain at Jacksonville Speciality Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Parkwood Baptist Church, Saturday, April 1, 2023, 7900 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32211. The family will greet visitors in the Worship Center at 10:30am followed by the service at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkwood Baptist Church Fire Damage Fund.
