Tommy, as he was known to his family, was the youngest of nine children. He grew up in Jacksonville and was a student at San Jose Catholic School from Kindergarten to Eighth grade. He attended Wolfson Senior High School and the University of North Florida, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Arts degree in Marketing.
He was very diversified in his career using his skills in Commercial and Residential Construction project management. He changed careers when his passion for the culinary arts developed and he ended his career in the culinary industry, as a Chef and Grill Master. In everything he did, he worked tirelessly and was dedicated to his career.
He loved water sports and was an accomplished scuba diver visiting the Florida Keys during lobster season as frequently as his busy schedule allowed. He was an avid fan of Florida Gator Football, and every bit as much a fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tom had a gift of setting up the annual family football pool that created family unity and kept all the brothers and sisters connected. He was best buddies with his beloved black Labrador, SHAMEN!
Tom was a fun, loving person! He loved to cook and was an excellent chef and grill master. His mother often commented that she had her own “personal chef” in her dear son.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Tom at 10 AM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Remek Blaszkowski as celebrant . There will be a Rosary said in Tom’s memory at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow the Mass at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Cemetery.
Tom touched the lives of many people and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. By faith, we know that his soul lives on with our hope that we will see him again.
