Thomas Crispin Swift passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, at the age of 62. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born in Kentucky, Tom moved with his family before settling in Indiana. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps in the 1970s. Tom met his wife of 37 years, Cathy, at Indiana University, and together they moved to Florida where, after a decade of fun and adventure, they had two daughters, Amanda (Kyle Stucki) and Sharon. Tom was most at home when surrounded by friends and family with either a beer or bow in hand, and always preferred his Harley over his truck. Full of wit and humor, he was well-known for his boisterous laugh and never-ending supply of jokes. He lived to see the wedding of his first daughter and birth of his first grandson, Cooper Thomas, who bears his name. Tom will be dearly missed, but is now free to hunt in the forests of Heaven. Family includes wife Cathy (Keifer) Swift, daughters Amanda Stucki (Kyle) and Sharon Swift, mother Ellen (Dumbacher) Swift, father (deceased) William Swift, sister Margaret (Swift) Rogers (Allen), brothers William (Anne), Michael (Terry), Matthew (Deedee), Lawrence (Karen), Joseph (Lorraine), and James Swift (Beth), and grandson Cooper Thomas Stucki, as well as innumerable nieces and nephews. A service will be held Sunday, June 7, at the American Legion Post 316 at 2 PM, followed by a motorcade to the Bayard Rooster. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Camp Boggy Creek.
