Virginia Vest Ellison

Virginia Vest Ellison was born on December 14th, 1929 and passed away on July 31st 2020 at the age of 90. She was the oldest of 6 children, born to Owen and Mary Vest. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Billy G. Ellison. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Ivey (Rodney), son, Billy Ellison Jr, stepdaughters, Fran Blankenship, Linda Flora, Donna Heikes, Dorothy Peplau, Yvonne McConville, Pamela Kimberly, and Sandra Chauancy and stepson, Ted Canape. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Krissy Weeks (Chad), Rodney Ivey ll (Kelsey), Cassie Tejera (Jaime), Angelina Ellison, Toni Smith (Ray), Joe Sanders (Diane), Nicole Glisson (Brian), and three great-grandchildren, Wynn and Sumner Weeks, and Eloise Ivey as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Virginia was always caring and kind. She enjoyed to socialize with friends, sharing a meal or a cup of coffee. She loved to study the Bible and she loved her family. The family will receive friends at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32208 from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2020 with Graveside services to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
