

He served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam as a generator mechanic and military police (MP) achieving the rank of corporal during his 4-year contract. After the military he became an eyeglass lens crafter for Safelight Optical. He later opened his own shop at the Ramona Flea Market where he enjoyed being a vendor for over 20 years with his wife. Fishing was his true passion second only to his love for his family. He spent countless hours on the lakes and rivers south of Ocala fishing and canoeing with family and friends. The same lakes he spent his childhood summers with his cousin Derrick Adams at their parents’ lake houses. In his later years he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Chrisy Adams, his sons Ryan Adams, and Tim Adams his stepsons Terry Jordan, and Daniel Jordan, his grandson Ashton Adams, granddaughter Caylin Adams and a host of cousins and in-laws that shared in his life journeys. He was predeceased by his father, Lonnie E Adams, mother, Betty R Adams and older brother, Lonnie E Adams Jr.
A visitation for Wayne will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
