COBB - William ”Bill” D. Cobb, III, 82, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015. Mr. Cobb was a native Floridian, born and raised in Brooksville, FL. Bill was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bill graduated from the University of Florida and was an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Donnell Cobb, Jr. and Annie Edna Hilliard Cobb. He is survived by his wife, Deborah R. Cobb and his son, David Donnell Cobb. Bill taught at Hernando High School, Brooksville, FL in the early 60’s. Bill worked 35 years in the limerock and aggregate industry. During this time he worked for Dixie Lime and Stone, Florida Rock Industries and Rinker Materials. He served as past president of Florida Limerock Institute. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Burial will be in Brooksville at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials in Bill’s honor may be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jax., FL 32257 or a charity of your choice.
