

William Lloyd Luttrell, Jr. 90 died peacefully Sunday, September 1, 2013 after a long battle with heart disease. Lloyd was born November 1, 1922 in Grass Range, Montana and raised in Alcoa, Tennessee. He graduated from the College of Charleston. During WWII he served in the US Maritime Service. He retired from the Treasury Department of the SCL (CSX) Railroad after 41 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Ionic Lodge #101, F&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Morocco Temple of the Shrine. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred McCammon Luttrell; 5 siblings, Robert Luttrell, Kenneth Luttrell, Louise Hope, James Luttrell, Esther Lane, and Mary Luttrell. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Helen. Sons William Luttrell III and Robert Luttrell (Elizabeth). Grandsons Robert Luttrell, Jr. (Jamie) and Kenneth Luttrell (Jeni). Great grandchildren Madelyn, Megan, and Graiden Luttrell. Sisters and brother, Emma Lampley, Virginia Hoover, Edna Diamond, and Walter Luttrell. Niece Lisa Deaton and nephews Loren Smith and Dr. Ernest Sutton. Visitation with friends and family will be from 2-3PM on Saturday in the Chapel in Greenlawn Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 3pm at the Mausoleum.
