William G Lyons

William Gardner Lyons died unexpectedly April 23, 2014. Bill was born September 16, 1952 in Jacksonville, FL to Charles A. and Jane (Gardner) Lyons. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended USF and FSU. Bill worked for many years in retail store management. He had been active in PBA, Ye Mystic Revellers, Florida Yacht Club and SAE Fraternity. Bill was predeceased by His mother, Jane G. Fields, father Charles A Lyons and step-fathers, Ben Edwards and James W. Fields. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Denmark Lyons, sisters, Ruth (John) Fox, Stuart, FL. Patty (Mitch) Fields, Portland, OR, brother, Charles (Charlotte) Lyons, Jesup, GA, sister-in-law, Lilli (John) Behrens (Jacksonville). Also survived by nieces and nephews Julie (Jeff) Robbins, Meredith (Steven) Kidd, Andrew Behrens, Emily Behrens, Madison Behrens, Edward (Meredith) Burroughs and step brothers and sisters: Linda (Ron) Traylor, Mary Kay Stafford, Chris Fields, Doug (Robin) Fields and their children.

Service arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage Giddens 729 S Edgewood Ave. Jax. Fl 32205. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, April 28 at 2:00 PM at Ortega United Methodist Church. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Kidney Fund.
