I never had the chance to spend a whole lot of time with Skip. But the time that I did, he was always so nice and kind. He was a Great Dad and a Papa. He also was a good father-in-law. You are truly being missed but I know the Lord wanted you in a better place.

Skip was such a fun & talented man! I remember when he upholstered an old chair I got from my Aunt. It turned out beautiful & I still use it in my bedroom. He would not take any money, but he did take a bottle of Tequila! It just breaks my heart that he is no longer with us. He was truly a very remarkable man & will be missed by many. Heaven has a new Angel!😘 ( I will always remember him wearing that scary, old man Halloween mask! Fun times!)

Just having an opportunity in my life to know such a man and such a family. Lou would share stories with us at school and all included some special project Skip was making or doing to make their home comfortable or better. He made a place for his children and grands to gather for he loved his family so. That was so evident in how he spoke of them. A very talented guy, great wit, fun to be around and caring!!! He came to help me at my home to put up crown molding in my kitchen which I so appreciated!! The whole time he worked he was so efficient and it looked perfect!!!! YOU will be so missed!! Comfort and grace to your special Lou and to your girls and grands.

I dont even know where to start because James and I have so many good memories of U that its impossible to pick just one. We r so glad that we had the honor of being Ur friend. U are definitely a MAN'S Man, stand up guy, a terrific Husband,Father and friend. One of my greatest memories is when Lou was pregnant with Shannon and U built that cradle from scratch to make sure Shannon had little bed to put in yalls bedroom when she came home from the hospital. U were so tickled to be a father and I'll never forget how proud U were of that baby when she came into this world. Skip I could go on and on about the times we've had over the years, but just know those are memories that we will cherish forever n our hearts. Thank U for being such a good friend and U will be greatly missed Buddy. I hope U are up there in Ur happy place getting Ur fishing on. I do know U will be Shinning down on us all. Rest in Pease Skippy. We LOVE U from the Bottom of Our Hearts. James and Cathy Booker

Skip is so very loved. I spent so much of my childhood at that house with what will always be my 2nd family, no matter time or distance. A house filled with love and definitely laughs. Skip was always the dad that could do and build it all. A busy body who was always working on a project. A saint for putting up with shannon and her friends shenanigans. Even as I got older I would often end up behind skip in his work van and would just catch myself remembering him and all the fond memories he provided my childhood. Thank you for always being so welcoming and warm. I hope you are sailing the heavens now looking down and guiding all the people that love you.

Mr. Skip~
You sir were one of the best 2nd dads all of us kids could have. I will cherish so many fond memories. Pool days these turned to night swims, the coolest backyard in the neighborhood. Always being so caring, teaching us, loving us & being a wonderful father figure, husband & the ultimate good guy! Thank you for always loving us as your own. For every life you touch, they are blessed. May you dance among the Heavens & continue to shine bright. My love to Momma Lou, Shannon, Meagan, Charlie & all the babies... give Peanut lovens from us all.

I thought Skip was such a good man. He was loving and kind, talented in so many things and would do anything for others. I’m so sad to learn of his passing and I know how much his family will miss him. Our world is a little dimmer without him.
