Thomas "Guy" Cowell

He was preceded in death by his father Norwood Arnold Cowell, his mother Sarah Jerry Fields Cowell, and his brother Norwood “Jack” Arnold Cowell, Jr.

Guy was survived by his wife of 63 years Grace Swinson Cowell of Maple Hill, his children Jerry Arnold Cowell of Newport, Glenn Thomas Cowell and wife Patti of Lucama, Sally Cowell Fountain of Carolina Beach, Dallas Ray Cowell and wife Patsy of Jacksonville, Guy Willis Cowell of Maple Hill, and Tommy Smith of Wallace, his sister Maxine Cowell Edwards of Beulaville, his brother William Edwards Cowell of Jacksonville, his 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Guy will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville on Monday from 12-2 PM, with the service at 2PM following the visitation also at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville with Pastor Daniel Flynn officiating. Burial will take place at Onslow Memorial Park following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church building fund.
