
Anne Ramey Alderman-Hunt, of Jasper, Alabama, age 87, passed away on June 21, 2020. She was employed by the Jasper Police Department before moving to Miami, Florida at age 26. While there, she was Comptroller of Miami-Dade Bank and served as President of the North Miami Shores Business and Professional Women. She returned to reside in Jasper near her family in 1994.
She is survived by her sister, Louise Rector (Charlie), of Long Beach, MS; sister, Dean Zakarin (Leonard) of Jasper, AL and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband for 28 years, Nelson; brother, Theodore Ramey; sister, Ida Ramey; sister, Ada Miller (Curtis); sister, Mary Mewshaw (Joe); brother, Fred Ramey (Eulene); sister, Edith Schley (Ollie); brother, John Howard Ramey (Marie); brother, Vollie Joe; step-sister, Maebelle Bray (Eddie); and parents, Ruth Elizabeth Popham and John Henry Ramey.
Her beloved sister, Dean, who survived her by only a few hours, resided with her. Her nieces, Peggy Harrell (Roy) of Birmingham, AL and Jane Ramey (Michael) of Oceanside, CA provided assistance for their care. The family wishes to thank Beverly Guthrie and other Harbor Chase employees; Southeast Hospice; and Visiting Angels employees Nicole, Shonda, Rachel, Kelly, and Renee for their loving care.
Funeral service will be held at Kilgore Green Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. SOCIAL DISTANCING and FACE MASKS will be REQUIRED. A live video stream of the service can be seen on the Facebook page of Kilgore-Green Funeral Home.
