Bruce Camp Elliott, 59, of Jasper passed away at his residence on February 17th, 2026. Bruce graduated from Minor High in 1984 and attended Birmingham Southern studying music. He had a beautiful singing voice. He was an “on air” voice at WFFN/WARF before working at ACIPCO, where he retired after more than 30 years.
Bruce enjoyed fishing, but he loved his Auburn football. Rarely did he miss a televised game and took it personally when the cable company dropped ESPN for a while. Bruce was a private person but had a big heart. He was a member of Crumly Chapel United Methodist Church and that’s where he gave his life to Christ. He sang in the choir and could make you feel the old hymns in your soul.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21st, from 10 am – 11 am at Kilgore-Green with service to follow at 11 am. Burial will be at New Prospect Cemetery. Anthony Gilbreath will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Dot Elliott of Birmingham; and grandparents, Gordon Elliott, Margaret Elliot, Berl Ottis and Mittle Spiux Camp.
He is survived by his son, Samuel Elliot and Sam’s mother Laurel Elliott of Jasper; sister, Sharon Elliott Veigas (Keith) of Hoover; nephews, Cade Garnett, Brody Garrett of Birmingham and John Maddox Hudson of Jasper; nieces, Rilee Garrett of Birmingham and Shelby Hudson of Jasper; and a host of cousins and friends who will all miss him as well.
The family wishes to say that all colors of attire are welcome, but blue and orange are highly encouraged in honor of Bruce.
