Charles was a retired Chief Petty Officer (E7), USN after serving 20 years active duty. He was a loving husband, father, doting granddaddy and Gdad.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Burial at Pisgah Baptist Cemetery in Sipsey. Paul Mason will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gale Hale Beersdorf; father, Theodore R. Beersdorf; mother, Eunice Barnett Beersdorf; brothers George Beersdorf and Jerry Beersdorf.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary T. Bevan of Jasper; son, Charles Beersdorf, Jr. Largo, FL; grandsons, Adam Bevan (Christy) of Jasper, Kyle Bevan (Brittany) of Hoover and Samuel C. Beersdorf of St. Pete Beach, FL; granddaughter, Caitlyn Beersdorf of Orlando, FL; great grandsons, Enoch Bevan, Cayden Bevan, and Rowen Bevan, great granddaughter, Kyleigh Bevan; sister, Wanda Beersdorf of Wilmore, KY and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
