Charles Wade Bruce

Charles Wade Bruce, known as Wade, of Jasper, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at home. Family will receive friends Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Boldo Cemetery. J. D. Dickerson will officiate.

He was born November 16, 1956, in Jasper, Alabama, to Bobby Gene Bruce and Mae Jewell Harris Bruce, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Bruce was guided by his faith throughout his life and loved his family dearly. He especially cherished time spent with his grandsons and nephews, including the grandsons he proudly claimed as his own, attending their sporting events and supporting their many activities. He retired from Alabama Power after 37 years of service at Plant Gorgas, where he worked as a Plant Control Operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nichole Walker.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Spears (Robbie) of Jasper; grandson, Ethan Spears of Jasper; grandson, Brandon Thomsen; brother, Carl Douglas Bruce (Cathy); nephews, Caden and Carden; special friend of many years, Sandra Woods; her son, Jamie; her daughter, Jessica Reid (Dusty); and her grandsons, Remington and Gage.
