A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fayette, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Frankie Keene will officiate.
Charles Ray was an avid Auburn fan and was involved with the Grandsons of the Confederacy. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Whitesburg First Baptist Church in Huntsville.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Dion Nicholson; parents, Joseph and Willie Mae Nicholson; and siblings, Billy Joe Nicholson, Frank Nicholson, Wayne Nicholson, Gene Nicholson, Don Nicholson and Gary Nicholson.
He is survived by his daughters, Carmen Nicholson Dobbs and Beverly Denice Mays (Darin); grandchildren, JoLee Dobbs and Will Dobbs; brother, Jimmy Nicholson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
