Garry Neil Drummond, 78, Chairman and CEO of Drummond Co. Inc., died on July 13, 2016 at his home. Visitation will be held Monday July 18 at 1 p.m. at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham with a memorial service immediately following at 3 p.m. Mr. Drummond is survived by his wife Peggy Drummond, four children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one brother and a host of nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by one son, three brothers, two sisters and his parents Heman and Elza Drummond. He was a long-time member of the University of Alabama Board of Trustees and served as President Pro Team of the Board. He was the University of Alabama College of Engineering Distinguished Alumni Lecturer in 1987-1988 and was the University’s Outstanding Alumnus for 1987-1988. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Big Oak Ranch, Kings Home or Glenwood.
