

Family will be receiving friends at Williams Chapel Methodist Church, from 12 until 2 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2024. Service will follow at 2 p.m., at Williams Chapel Methodist Church, directed by Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Bro. Mac Buttram will officiate.
Harold was a member of Williams Chapel Methodist Church. He retired from the U.S. Navy as Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service. He was a Bevill State graduate and taught Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He and his wife traveled 49 states and Canada seeing “Gods Beautiful Handy Work”. They loved camping with friends and family. He was instrumental in forming the Pineywoods Fire Department and served as the first president. He was a devoted Christian, who loved God, his church, friends and most of all his family.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Angel Chania Hardee; parents, Loys and Gladys Speegle; siblings, Robert Speegle (Frances), Frances Speegle Harbison (Louie), Horace Speegle, Douglas Speegle (Carol) and Thomas Speegle; grandparents, Jim and Gertie Speegle and Thomas and Lucinda Entrekin; in-laws, Travis and Audrey Gosa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Ruth Gosa Speegle; children, Vicky Tidwell, Ricky Speegle (Keo), Wendy Hardee (David) and Randy Speegle (Nicole); grandchildren, Phillip Tidwell, Matthew Tidwell, Chad Hardee (Missy), Troy Hardee (Stephanie), Rusty Speegle, Ryan Speegle (Meagan) and Brandon Speegle; great grandchildren, Jayce Speegle, Trey Speegle, Seth Speegle, Sara Speegle, Bryce Hardee, Cayden Hardee, Julia Hardee and Rianlee Hardee; sister, Rosella Akers; brother, David Speegle (Rita); brother-in-law, Dewey Gosa and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Williams Chapel Cemetery Fund or Speegle Point.
