Irene Hudson Hand went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 25, 2017. Irene was the loving wife of Claude Hand for 69 years. She was a homemaker and mother of two sons, Bobby and Dewayne. She was a pastor’s wife for over 50 years. Irene was grandmother to Brent, Michael, and Holly Hand. Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. and Velma N. Hudson; spouse, Claude C. Hand; son, Claude Dewayne Hand; twin sister, Lorene H. Handley, all of Jasper. She is survived by son, Bobby Hand (Tonya); sister Mary Wells (Edward); grandson, Brent Hand (Selena), all of Jasper; grandson, Michael Hand of Northport; granddaughter, Holly Hand of Jasper; and great-grandchildren, Lexi and Hudson Hand of Jasper. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Kilgore Green Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Funeral service will be officiated by Reverend David Byrd and Reverend Delmus Anthony.
