Larry Bradberry, born on April 2, 1944, left this walk of life to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. His wife and daughter were at his side. Visitation will be today, Jan. 26, 2016, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Carbon Hill Church of God. Funeral services will follow at the church. Troy Tannehill will officiate. Burial will be at Carbon Hill Memorial Cemetery. Larry was a loving husband and father, and he and Brenda were married for over 43 years. Larry worked hard at every job he ever had, eventually spending more than 25 years with the Drummond Company. He was an avid bass fisherman (he even had a TV show once) and played semi-pro baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates in his youth. Larry was an intellectual genius and someone you never wanted to watch Jeopardy with. He loved the Alabama Crimson Tide, the San Francisco Forty-Niners and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also loved Peyton Manning, but his daughter has forgiven him for that. Both he and his wickedly sarcastic sense of humor will be missed. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Jim Bradberry; brother, Craig Bradberry; niece, Stacey Bradberry; and father-in-law, L.M. Keeton. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, baby Leigh and her husband, Tim; mother, Margie Bradberry; brother, Garry and his wife, Susan; and mother-in-law, Helen Keeton. Larry also left his special four-legged children, Baby Boy, Mitzi and Mama Dog. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Allen, Greg Anderson, Tim Horton, Jimmy Hyche, Todd Manuel and John Sherer.
