James Leon Underwood James Leon Underwood, 89, of Cordova, passed away , Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at his residence. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, from noon until 1 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at 1 p.m. from the Kilgore-Green Chapel with William Tittle and Bob Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Memory Gardens. Underwood was a World War II veteran and served in the United States Navy. He was retired from United States Postal Service and was a member of the Cordova Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Underwood. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie Underwood; and son, Thomas Underwood (Janice).
