Mr. Thomas Lamar Edwards Sr.

Thomas Lamar “Tom” Edwards Sr., 81, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, from noon until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Edgil Grove Cemetery. Vance Hutton and Levi Sides will officiate. Edwards loved the Lord and he had a special place in his heart for the congregation at Double Springs Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Flora Bell Edwards; and sisters, Janice Edwards, Betty Sue Whillis and Myrtle Jean Whitfield. He is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean Stevens Edwards; children, Thomas Lamar Edwards Jr. (Tammy), Rex Morgan Edwards (Lori), Dedra Jean Hartley (Keith), and Tammy Wynette Osmer (Jason); grandchildren, Randy Hartley (Jenny), Joshua Edwards (Elysia), Kayla Hartley Barnes, Jacob Edwards (Amanda), Martha Osmer, Kendra Osmer, and Justice Kane Windham; great-grandchildren, Bentley James and Jonathan Rex Edwards, Joshua David and Hadley Ann Edwards, and Allison Brooke Hartley; and siblings, Larry Edwards (Bonnie), Glenn Edwards (Sherry), Almarene Parrot, and Philip Edwards (Ruth).
