Trina Suzanne Doremus Abbott

Trina was born on November 19, 1961, in Newburgh, NY. She lived in parts of Florida, Texas, Nevada, New York, Michigan, Missouri, Louisiana, New Orleans and Alabama. Trina was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved and enjoyed her time with her family, friends, animals, bowling, fishing as long as she did not have to touch the fish and swimming, her mom thought she was part mermaid. Trina always maintained a job to take care of her children. At any time that her children needed her, she was there. She took care of her parents until they passed away, even though her mom always telling her to go because she has a life of her own. When Trina was younger, she wanted to go into the Marines but she ended up having children. While raising her children and helping them with schoolwork she was going to college herself. She attended Del Marr College in Campus Christi, TX, for 2 years but did not get to finish. Trina was always there to help her children and grandchildren with whatever they needed. She loved a good comedy, watching movies from Block Busters and Blowout video stores where she once worked, taking road trips was always the best especially going to theme parks like Six Flags, where there was many wonderful fun memories made. It was her dying wish she would like all her significate other, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, other relatives, friends, and her dogs to know that she loved each one very much. She fought hard to stay with us but she grew tired and lost the battle. She will live though the hearts of her family and friends threw comedy movies, fun memories, the sunshine, butterflies, rose bushes and many more places you may see. She will be truly missed by many.

She is preceded by her granddaughter, Laya Hicks; parents, Paul and Barbara Doremus; siblings, William Doremus, Jimmy Waggstaff who died in Vietnam War and Paul Doremus, Jr.; grandparents, William Utter, Isma Dimmick and Sadie Doremus.

She is survived by her love of her life, Barry Zoetewey. children, Heather Merkey (Charles), Michael Abbott Jr., Elizabeth Abbott, Amanada Abbott, Carrie Abbott (Ramos Sorto) and Dustin Metz; grandchildren, Samatha Merkey, Jaden Sorto, Leonardo Sorto, Landon Sorto, Elijah Metz and Sa`ryah Hicks; siblings, Terry Manning, Craig Manning (Betty), Michael Manning, Dona Waggstaff, and Carol Jones ( Skip); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
