Mrs. Trudie Lee Roberts Taft

Trudie Lee Taft, 92, of Jasper, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at Sanctuary Church of God of Jasper. Burial will follow at Walker Memory Gardens. Ministers Neal Fowler, Jerry Burton and Lane Sargent will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home and Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Trudie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her passions included her faith and her church, but most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her joyful nature, never-ending kindness and her exceptional cooking. Our mother was a beautiful and loving person; she was truly an Angel from Heaven!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayborn and Hattie Roberts; brother, Junior; sisters, Trixie, Christine and Katie; and step granddaughter, Jennifer Buchannan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 Years, Andrew Jackson Taft, Sr.; daughters, Denise Richards (Edwin) of Sumiton and Diane Rhodes (Danny) of Jasper; stepson, Jack Taft, Jr.; stepdaughter, Judy Lewis; grandchildren, Stephanie Richards Clark (Shannon), Jessica Richards Harden (Justin), Lauren Richards, Christina Richards, Kyle Rhodes, Kayla Rhodes and Andrew Rhodes; step grandchildren, Kenneth Taft (Crystal), Tracy Taft, Donald Lewis, David Lewis and Drew Lewis; great grandchildren, Angelina Harden, Avaleigh Harden, Ace Harden, Lenox Clark, Jacob Taft and Kenyon Taft; sisters, Myrtle Hale (Fred) of Gardendale and Doris Gorman of Cullman; a Host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Danny Rhodes, Kyle Rhodes, Andrew Rhodes, Kenneth Taft, Jacob Taft and Justin Harden.
