Ms. Wylma, as she was affectionately known, was born on October 11, 1937, in Murfreesboro, TN to Mary Marcella and Leonard Holden. She moved to Walker County, AL in the 1950s, where she started her family and served as a U.S. Postmaster until her retirement. Later in life, Wylma married Mr. Harold Beasley, and together they shared many years together full of love and happiness.
Always quick witted, effortlessly charming and with an iconic fashion sense, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She loved shopping and enjoying a cold cocktail —but above all, she loved her family deeply. Wylma was a loving mother, doting grandmother, and a cherished friend to many.
Per her wishes, there will be no service. Instead, she suggested that we all live life like every day’s Christmas and every night’s a party – just as she did.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheree Childers Rhodes, grandchildren, Jennifer Reese, Jessica Childers, Ryan Eubanks, McKenzie Mack Freeman (Andrew), Teddy Childers (Rachel), and will be missed by her many great grandchildren. Ms Wylma was fortunate to have the Beasley children and grandchildren as her bonus family as well.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Mary Marcella Ralston Holden & Leonard Holden, her brothers William T. Holden, Mitchell Holden, Harry L. Holden, Charles Holden, David Holden, son, Teddy L . Childers, grandson, Jody Seth Eubanks, and granddaughter, Meghan
