Dale Eugene Whitmer

He was born on May 27, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA to Raymond and Vera Whitmer. On July 18, 1967, he married Sharon Bamberger; she survives him. He was in the Army Reserves. He was a member of The Sunset Lodge No. 237 in Washington, PA, The American Legion Post 744 of Marianna, PA, The Moose Lodge 461 of Waynesburg, PA, and Anawanna Hunting and Fishing Club. He enjoyed camping with friends and spending winters in Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Whitmer; daughters, Cindy Davis (Richard), and Marcy Maletta (Mike); grandson, Kraig Davis; brothers, Don Whitmer (Linda), Tom Whitmer (Sallie), and Paul Whitmer (Diane); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Whitmer (Linda), and Jack Whitmer (Gloria).

Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday, December 4 from 3 to 7 PM and a funeral service on Friday, December 5 at 11 AM at Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344; burial to follow at Prosperity Cemetery in Prosperity, PA.
