There are special friends that God places in our lives who will forever hold a place in our hearts.  Mike is one of those special friends.  We worked together for nearly 15 years and those years are full of so many memories.  Memories of smiles and laughter in the good times and of support and kindness in the hard times.  I could share so many stories, but we all have those wonderful memories of Mike because he was a good friend and a wonderful person and it shows in every comment from every friend and loved one.  Rest in peace my friend.  You will always have a special place in my heart.

Mike was one of the good ones.  I will always remember his smile.  I would cheer him on when he ran the race in Wheeling.  Always had a smile and a wave for me even after climbing 29th Street hill.  You will be missed. Rest in peace Mike.

It is obvious from looking at the pictures that a lot of time is spent eating and digging with the Romesburg's, but also laughing.  I'm glad I have all my silly t-shirts from Uncle Mike to remember one of his best qualities, his humor.  He was a great story teller and a very loving uncle.  He inspired us to run and stay active.  We also have our house library that he stocked.  A lot of people probably have a house library because of Uncle Mike, because we couldn't keep all the books he has given us over the years otherwise we would have to open a library.   Words can't express how much he will be missed. 

Over 20 years of memories with a man known to me as Bucko. Oh the memories of our shenanigans at work such as taking rides on the office dolly, our famous “Top Ten Lists”, sticking confetti in any envelope we could, decorating the boss’s office, cracking jokes about the strange cats under the building and  so much more. You will never be forgotten as we will forever share stories of your compassion, humor and wit. 

To the Romesburg family, I extend my heartfelt sympathy.  Mike was truly a wonderful coworker at WorkForce WV.  I will always remember his unique sense of humor, his antics, and his ability to make the workplace entertaining while being notably productive.  I feel blessed to have known Mike.  Rest in peace buddy.  

Mike was a good soul and dear friend.  He was wicked smart, funny, and kind.  It's no secret that Mike was one of our favorites to work with.  His job at Workforce involved a great deal of conflict at times but he was always cool as a cucumber.  Mike was fair, honest, and treated everyone with respect.  He went out of his way to make your day better and in doing so, he formed lasting friendships.  He loved his family.  Mike's face would light up talking about Sunny and his nephews.  His example of love, caring, and commitment to excellence lives as an inspiration to all of us.  Tony and I will miss him.  Rest in peace my friend.     

Mike was a great person and a very good employee for Workforce WV. He was always kind, courteous, and smiling.  He will be missed by everyone.

Mike trained me when I became a deputy! He was so patient and kind to me .  I am proud to have had him as a friend. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Mike was the best co-worker you could ask for. He was hard working, professional, kind, generous and funny. He had the best sense of humor. Mike and I, along with a few other WorkForce employees ran our first race together. Not sure of the date but around 1989.  My sincere condolences to his family.

Happy birthday, my buddy! I marked your birthday when I received the Grammar Calendar from you. I miss your phone calls, visits, and you!  There's no other person as thoughtful as Mike. May you & Sunny celebrate this special day together.❤

Mike was admired, respected, and loved by every employee of Workforce WV.  He was hired a few weeks after me, when there were two divisions, Job Service and Unemployment.  He started in Fairmont, then transferred to Morgantown when the opportunity arose.  I could tell stories about him forever!  He always made you laugh, but was one of the smartest and best Deputies I knew.  My heart goes out to brother Joe (what he always called him, like Brother was his first name), his family, and all his friends.
