

She was born March 1, 1919 in Bell, Somerset County, a daughter of the late John Henry and Minnie Rexrode Good.
Mrs. Remington was a 1938 graduate from Jefferson High School and was a homemaker.
She was a longtime den mother with the Clarksville Cub Scouts and a member of Rebekah’s Lodge in Clarksville. She was a loyal bingo player and sports fan.
She was a member of the Clarksville Christian Church.
On September 27, 1941 she married Porter L. (Duke) Remington, who died May 8, 2004.
Surviving are three sons, David L. Remington and wife Peggy of
Strongsville, OH, Melvin E. Remington and wife Janis of Fort Hill, and
Roy A. Remington and wife Marsha of Jefferson. Ten grandchildren,
Shawn (Janice) Remington, Shellie (David) Rose, Chris (Tamara) Remington
Brett (Tina) Remington, Jason (Barb) Remington, Mike (Ann) Remington,
Brian (Keisha) Remington, Patrick (Heidi) Turner, Renee (Tim) Basiorka,
Ryan (Lobna) Remington; nineteen great-grandchildren, Kaylee Remington,
Erin Remington, Zachary Remington, Morgan Mattern, Brooke Remington,
Hayden Remington, Mikayla Remington, Marissa Remington, Taylor Breehl,
Jackson Remington, Allison Remington, Breanna Remington, Tyler Remington,
Travis Helsley, Brandon Remington, Catherine Remington, Eli Turner,
Eric Basiorka and Addison Basiorka; Sisters-in-law Gertrude Good, Betty
Colbert, Virginia Remington, Norma Wines, Janet Atkins and Anna Mae
Remington.
Deceased are a brother, Herbert (Bud) Good; and sisters, Alice Makel and Betty Anderson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 with the Rev. James D. Lewis Sr. officiating.
