Shirley J. Black Wade

She was born September 19, 1935 in Waltersburg, a daughter of the late Santford and Dorothy Collins Black.

Ms. Wade was a 1943 graduate of Jefferson High School and a graduate of Penn Commercial College.

She worked for over 35 years at Brockway Glass, Plant #7 and later worked as a home caregiver in the Washington area.

Ms. Wade enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren; her gardening, Pittsburgh sports teams, and her collection of roosters.

She was a member and former secretary of the Glass Bottle Blowers Association local.

Surviving are three children, Alan (Dawn) Wade of Washington, Doug (Lori) Wade of Ellsworth and Brenda (Mark) Lacks of Fredericktown; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Sharon (George) Richter of Jefferson; four brothers, Shannon (Joyce) Black of Chardon, OH, Terry (Pamela) Black of Mentor, OH, Oliver (Janice) Black of Hernando, MS, Jan (Karen) Black of Stewart, TN.

Deceased is a daughter, Cindy Wade; and a son, Brian Wade.

Friends will be received on Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor John Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Churchill Cemetery, McClellandtown.
