Susan R. Machesky

She was born June 28, 1958, the daughter of Leonard and Wilma Smitley Havanis.

Mrs. Machesky had worked as a dental hygienist for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections at SCI Greensburg.

She was a lifetime resident of Carmichaels and enjoyed shopping and cooking.

Surviving are and uncle, Elmer Smitley of Waynesburg; an aunt, Patty Hamercheck of Jefferson; several nieces; nephews; and cousins. Also surviving are her life-long friends, Billee Jo Bodwell, Benjamin Joseph Savage, Courtney Rebecca Sabo, and Helen Konchesky; her friend, Penny Newhouse; and numerous other friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, Robert A. Havanis, and daughter, Kaitlyn Machesky.

Friends will be received from 5 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Dave McElroy officiating. Private inurnment will be in Greene County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
