

David was born in Waynesburg, a son of William A. Novak of Carmichaels and Audrey David McNally of Canonsburg.
He graduated from Jefferson-Morgan High School in 1980 where he excelled in several sports including football, basketball and track. He then graduated from California University with a Bachelor’s of Science.
He was a member of the Carmichaels Methodist Church and recently attended Oakview Methodist Church.
David was a master carpenter and built many houses in the area. He was a beloved member of the community and always eager to lend a hand.
David lived on Hilton Head Island for a few years where he loved to fish and go shrimping. After moving to Rices Landing, he became self-employed and could do almost any type of construction.
On March 11, 1989, he married the love of his life, Patty Logan Novak, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Andrew of Rices Landing, and Emily of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; sisters, Leah Daniel and Deborah Dugan and brother, Brian Douglas Novak. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews; and his little black kitty, Kason.
