

He was born May 16, 1929 in Lippencott, a son of the late Jesse A. and Pearle Crayne Stilwell.
Mr. Stilwell was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson Township High School.
He had served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Stilwell was a steelworker for Weirton Steel for 31 years until his retirement. After retirement he has worked as a bus driver for King’s Transit, formerly Dulaney’s Bus Service, from 1987 until the present.
He was a member and former deacon of the Calvary Baptist Church, Lippencott, and a member of the American Legion Post #330, Waynesburg. He enjoyed being a member of the morning coffee group at McDonald’s every day and he lived all of his life in Lippencott.
On August 10, 1963 he married Frances White Stilwell, who died February 8, 1993.
Surviving are a son, Jeff Stilwell and his wife Rebecca of Lippencott; two grandsons, Travis Stilwell and his wife Shelby of Rices Landing and Clinton Stilwell of Lippencott; a great grandson, Ayden Stilwell; two sisters, Billie Dulaney of Waynesburg and Charlene Yanak of Low Hill.
Deceased are a step-son, Michael Sandwick; four sisters, Margaret Stilwell, Dorothy Kozorra, Lena Stilwell and his twin sister, Francine Church Horn; two brothers, Paul Stilwell and Robert Stilwell.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011 with the Rev. Nick Bardo officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post #330, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4793 and the disabled American Veterans Post #123, all of Waynesburg.
