hi my name is claudette i loved amanda as if she was my own daughter. There's not a day that pass that i dont miss her. I always have her in my heart. May god bless her soul. From Pop-Pop & Mom Mom Burkhardt.  The celebration of life that was held on October 4, 2011 at Treasure Coast Community Church was attended by over 200 people.  Everyone came to celebrate Amanda. The many people from Jensen Beach High School, The Sandpiper School,family,friends,and co-workers,all comprised the family that taught and raised Amanda. The photos and flowers that adorned the hall showed the love and life that celebrated Amandas life. Special thanks to the tireless efforts of the team that provided and prepared the bounty of food and refreshments. Thankyou to Reverand Gordon for the prayer and words of unity and comfort. A special thankyou to our daughter Ann Hill for giving the world a special angel that graced our presence for seventeen years. To you Ann and the 200 + people that attended the service last night, thankyou so much. Mom and Dad Burkhardt.

Amanda will always hold a special place in my heart.  It is impossible to think of her without smiling and remembering her joy in life and the love she shared; always on her terms, but always unconditional.  I was fortunate to be her teacher at SMS, but I may have learned more from her than she did from me.  I believe that one day I will be fortunate enough to see her smiling face again, she will be missed.

My little Amanda will be greatly missed at all of the holiday dinners at my house. Amanda was always there and ready to eat. I will forever remember Amanda being there every Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter and will keep her seat there with the rest of my family and friends.  I remember her dancing and shaking her head to the music and the way she always helped to clear the dishes after dinner.  Aunt Lee Lee.

Amanda and my son, Ian, have gone to school together since preschool at Challenger. I had the privilege to be one of her teachers at Stuart Middle School and she taught me a lot. I was so happy to see her at JBHS and see the beautiful young lady she turned into. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her. Her passing truly saddens me.

Why the Lord God allows the things he allows is a mystery to me. May He who holds our lives in His hands grant you peace and assurance of His goodness - a goodness that is some times hard to fathom, but exists nevertheless. God Bless. Frank Luke

When I first heard of Amanda's passing I was shocked and overtaken with sadness. Amanda touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. I had the joy of working with Amanda throughout middle school and high school and I will never forget her. I know that she is now up in heaven, perfect in every way, watching down on us! My prayers and thoughts are with her family.

Thankyou to everyone whom ever had the opportunity to experience the love and charm of our granddaughter Amanda Hill.  As the grandparents of Amanda and her brother Austen, we wish to thank everyone.    I just want you to know that I am so sorry for your loss!  Amanda will be missed greatly!  I had the opportunity to spend time with Amanda this summer at the ARC's Camp Able. The last days of camp were the days when I had Amanda all to myself and we formed a bond.  I visited her classroom or lunch every time I went to JBHS this year.  I am so sad but on the other hand I am so happy that she is now in a perfect body with a perfect mind!  That is the thought that I will think of when I think of her!  I am blessed to have known her! The ARC will miss her!

Amanda was so special to all of us at Sandpiper Cluster.  She lived in all three of our houses and was loved so much by the staff who took care of her daily.  She is now our little angel in heaven watching over us.  She will be missed by all and we will never forget her...love and prayers to all her family and friends.

Our family was truly blessed to have had Amanda.  She was very special from the day she was born.  I know she is now a happy and healthy young lady. She is running, talking, playing and loving life.  She is safe in the arms of Jesus.  We feel the pain of losing our granddaugter but I know she is in a better place.  I pray for peace for her family.  We will never forget her and will always have her in our hearts.

I had the fortunate opportunity to spend quite a bit of time with Amanda.  We played, screamed, and hugged.  She was a beautiful young lady.  I am better for have knowing her and will cherish the time spent with her.
