Andrew Peter Tuzzio, aged 85 of Lauderhill, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025 following a short battle with cancer. Andy was born on February 22, 1940 in Hoboken, New Jersey, the youngest of six children, to Andrew A. Tuzzio and Mary (née Lisa). He met the love of his life, Barbara (née Richter), while in high school and spent many memorable afternoons walking her home. He later attended Saint Peter’s University studying Business Management. Andy (Tuzz) and Barbara (the majorette from Carteret) were married in 1962 and relocated to south Florida in the late 70s where they raised their five children. Andy worked for over 40 years as a Claims Adjuster, spending most of his career at Liberty Mutual and eventually retiring from ProAssurance. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, spending time with friends, watching his favorite sports teams and horse races, and most of all he loved being surrounded by his family. He was dedicated to all those he loved; his support was unwavering, and the impact of his legacy will endure for generations to come. He is survived by the following obligatory NY Giants fans: Gerard (Janice), Nancy (Lee), Gregory (Laura), Nicholas (Amanda); his loving grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Bernard), Robert (Sara), Andrew (Italia), Joseph, Christopher (Monica), Arianna, Lauren, Giovanni, Gianetta, and Annika; and great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Nora, Sophia, Andrew, and Stanley.
Andy is predeceased by his wife, Barbara, his daughter and son-in-law, Laura (Kenneth), and his siblings, Carmella, Justina, Joseph, Antoinette, and Ella.
