We all have that one pair of shoes tucked away in our closet—the ones that have molded perfectly to our feet, worn soft with time, and feel like coming home every time we slip them on.  That's exactly what it felt like meeting Mr. Tuzzio for the first time.  There was an immediate sense of belonging, as if you'd known him for years rather than moments.

Mr. Tuzzio possessed a rare gift: he could make anyone feel like the most important person in the room. His conversations weren't just polite exchanges—they were genuine connections.  He listened with his whole being and shared stories that drew you in completely.  If you left his presence feeling anything less than welcomed and valued, well, that said more about your own walls than his warmth.

I'll deeply miss our talks together and those special visits he made to Indiana.  The memory of his laughter and the way he could turn any conversation into something meaningful will stay with me always.

To the entire Tuzzio family, I offer my heartfelt sympathy during this time of profound loss.  The world has lost someone truly special.  Greg, my friend, please know you and your family are in my thoughts.

Dear Gerard and Jan, I am so so sorry of the passing of Mr. Tuzzio. This man had such an impact on my life going through high school. He almost treated me like a son one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life. He made me into a Miami hurricane fan, which still stands to this day. my prayers are with you and oh how I miss you, Mr. Tuzzio.  I always made it a point when I was visiting my mother to make it over to Gerard’s house to see him and give him a hug and tell him what he meant to me you will be missed deeply saddened— Patrick Daley

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Although I never met him, I feel like I knew him from how often and lovingly you spoke of him. Hugs to you and your family.  May his memory be eternal.

It is strange to see Andrew Peter Tuzzio, to me he was/and will always be just Uncle Butch.  He was my godfather.  I was flower girl at his wedding to one of the most beautiful woman I ever saw.  I thought him the luckiest man ever.  To her he was Tuzz.
It so sad to lose someone who is such a part of my childhood memories.  He is the last of his generation in our family. He is the last with whom I could reminisce about Thanksgiving Dinners at Big Auntie Ella’s and Uncle Pete’s townhouse.  There were about 25 of us at the tables that stretched from the piano to the chair by the door, where Uncle Mickey sat with his dog.  Or the times the family gathered at the Aldrich Road house and the baseball games that we played.  We used to throw pitchers of water from the upstairs windows; my target was always Uncle Butch. Although sometimes the Aunts and Poppy got wet too.  It was my revenge being such an easy target for Uncle Butch to tease and pick on, but I know it was always done with love.  
When he moved to Old Bridge, I had just begun to drive and it was such fun going up to see them.  Kenny and I babysat a few times for them. Not long  after Poppy died, he moved the family to Florida, I was so sad.  The time seeing them after that was too long in between.  Over the years I did my best to join them when they came up to visit the Aunts.
After Aunt Barbara passed, he continued to always send birthday cards and was usually the first Christmas card to arrive.  I will always remember him sharing stories with my oldest grandson Anthony at mom’s 80th birthday party.  Telling him about his ancestors, silly things his great grandma did and a few things about his grandparents too.
Goodbye Uncle Butch, I will truly miss you.  I know that Aunt Barbara and Laura were there to greet you.

Papa, I miss you so much it hurts… I’m so thankful to have had you be apart of so many life milestones. I love you, forever.

We lost one of the good guys last week.  I worked side by side with Andy for 20+ years.  He was always kind, helpful and became a great friend over the years.   I'm forever grateful that I and our group from the job had a chance to see him just a few short weeks ago before the Lord decided he needed some positive energy up there!  I expect there will be an uptick in horse racing, red wine and Italian food in heaven where I am sure he now resides with his beautiful wife, Barbara and daughter Laura.  Sincere condolences to Andy's family.  He loved you all so much and was so proud of each of you.

I was a rookie Claims Supervisor moved in from the “South” to bring some order into the Miami Claims Office when I was introduced to Andy Tuzzio.  I spent 2.5 years under Bill James in Columbus, GA Claims who taught me how to read and follow the Procedure Manuals to the letter.  Tuzz taught me how to break, conceal and hide from every rule I had learned.  In two short years Tuzz had me talking monthly to Asst. VPs in Boston.  He helped shape and make me the Claims Guy I was!  Our daily game of Hearts at lunch was my antidepressants from the pace and stress of Miami.  

Sorely missed here, but waiting in Heaven for the rest of us to arrive!

Andy was more than a friend-we were family.  Andy was a colleague first, and constant friend ever after. Our bond grew stronger in retirement, he became one of the "Liberty Mutual Ladies" Together we formed a family, gathering regularly for lunches to share the new and remember all the good times we had together. With the 3rd generation of Liberty ladies, we shared all of our adventures, Andy had a way of making the past come alive: the way he remembered the old times, and we would laugh as if it were yesterday, and it reminded us of just how beautiful life can be when you share it with people you love. Andy was kind, warm hearted and quick with a smile or clever story. We will miss him dearly, his laugh and his friendship, but we're grateful for all the memories that will forever live in our hearts.

Andy you will be missed. You were a colleague that became a dear friend who I loved like family. Our Liberty lunches will never be the same. You were so much fun to hang out with and you were such a kind person.  RIP my friend.

Some of the best times! We enjoyed  having lunch with my Mom and her friends and Andy was always with us. A great story to share with a smile. He will be deeply missed…. Cheers Andy! We love you!
