Bruce grew up in Roselle, NJ and graduated from Abraham Clark High School. After graduation Bruce enlisted in the US Air Force received his basic training in San Antonio, Texas. Bruce went on to be stationed in Ipswich, England 8th Air Force 81st Tactical Fighter Wing Strategic Air Command (SAC).
Upon discharge from the Air Force Bruce worked for Legget & Meyers, J.B. William Pharmaceuticals and owned and operated Mayfair Liquor Store in Hillside, NJ.
He was a Member of the American Legion Post 126, Jensen Beach, FL.
Bruce liked all Sports the Jets, Yankees and Mets. His real Passion was GOLF and was recognized by the PGA for having 4 Hole in Ones. A former member of the Colonia Country Club, NJ. Bruce held many individual and team championships at his home county club and throughout the state of NJ.
He played at some of the east coast’s most prestigious courses. Baltusrol Beth Page Black, Black Hall, Fisher’s Island, Pine Valley, Somerset Hills and the Legacy Country Club.
Bruce will be remembered for having a great wit and always ready with a lengthy story. He enjoyed reading the newspaper, doing crosswords and playing cards, Especially Gin and Canasta.
The family would like to extend its gratitude for the tremendous care provided by Treasure Coast Hospice especially Michelle and Wanda. Bruce’s loss will be felt by his family and many friends in New Jersey and Florida.
Predeceased by his parents and sister Karen.
Survived by his wife Patricia, son Robert (Natalie), daughter Susan (Mike), sister, Janet (Peter) and grandchildren Kara and RJ.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Treasure Coast Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
