Born in Chicago, Illinois, Charlotte lived a full and vibrant life grounded in love, family, and community. She was the proud mother of five children and a devoted wife to her late husband, Dick Pfordresher, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Charlotte was also predeceased by her parents, Nicola and Isabelle Poppa, beloved son Larry Pfordresher, and her loving sister, Jackie Olson.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Jim Pfordresher, Nancy Newkirk (and her late husband Jack), Mike Pfordresher (Christy), and Tom Pfordresher (Suzanne). Her legacy lives on in her cherished grandchildren—Megan Davies, Jenn Roberts, Tori Hulse, Ryan Pfordresher, Jillian Pfordresher, and Jake Pfordresher—and her adored great-grandchildren: Blake Roberts, Emma Roberts, Gavin Hulse, and Camryn Hulse.
For the past 44 years, Charlotte called Jensen Beach, Florida home. It was there that she discovered her passion as the owner and heart of the Island Reef Restaurant and Lounge. A natural leader and friend to many, Charlotte brought warmth and charm to everyone who entered her establishment.
But above all, Charlotte’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her kind-hearted spirit, her signature bright red lipstick, and her favorite catchphrase, “Ohh la la.”
Charlotte’s presence will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and legacy will live on in all who had the joy of knowing her.
