I was so proud of my Aunt and her service in the Marines. It had to be hard for a woman to serve during that time.  I thought it was awesome that she learned to fly a small plane as a teen to be part of the Civil Air Patrol.  She so loved her recent trip to Washington DC for the Honor Flight for Veterans. She gave me an inspirational book when I was having a rough time and I've been hooked ever since. She was part of our little circle of book traders.  She loved red white and blue in her clothing.

I will miss my sister Dee. Especially the joy in her voice when she called to share a story about a new gadget she found.  I enjoyed going with her to the Marine Ball and seeing her pride and camaraderie with her fellow vets. We both shared a love of books and computers. She will be missed by my whole family.

Dee was my neighbor since 2013. We shared a love of reading. 
She was a wonderful neighbor.  She  always said hello with a wonderful smile.  I am going to miss her. I grew to love her.
Love and thoughts to her family. Just remember all the good days you had with her.
