Born and raised in North Adams, Mass, she moved to Florida in 2003 with her beloved husband, Tommy.
Dolores was a graduate of Drury High School class of 1948. Her high school yearbook said it best, "Introducing Webster's reason for including "liveliness" in his dictionary and you'll find "Doe" wherever fun and excitement are found. This continued throughout her life. She always wanted to be on-the-go. Shopping, traveling and going to the beach were among her favorite things to do. Yet, she still found plenty of time to take naps.
In North Adams, she was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and a member of the Lebanese Social Club; always enjoying making her Lebanese heritage food. She also enjoyed bowling, dancing, and playing board games. She spent over 25 years working at Sprague Electric Company, before retiring to raise her daughters; later returning to work at the County Clerk office for many years, after her daughters were grown.
In Florida, she was a member of the Red Hat society and enjoyed participating in all the activities at her residence at Ocean Palm.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Spofford (Daniel) and Michelle DeGrenier, 3 grandchildren, Sydney and Samantha Spofford and Justin DeGrenier, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Dolores is predeceased by the love of her life, her loving husband, of 41 years, Thomas Anello. She also is predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Shakar, brothers Michael Shakar, George Shakar and his wife, Clara and sister, Marie Kata and her husband Edward.
