Eva followed in her mother’s footsteps as a nurse, working in Germany, Switzerland and eventually in the USA. She lived and worked in Nevada and then Texas, gaining her US citizenship, and raising two sons, Richard and David.
Eva met widower Charles Lippincott in Houston and their relationship blossomed quickly. They embarked on a new life together with a move to Florida in 1997 and the building of their dream home.
Eva was pre-deceased by her parents, Otto Hilbrich and Hedwig Loag, and by her sister Uta Ehresmann (Uwe). Eva is survived by her loving husband of 28 years and their blended family of adult offspring: Richard Reed (Becky), David Scheiffele (Michelle), Diane Eleanor Seerden (Robert), Andrew Lippincott (Michele), and Alice Dorman (Clifford). Eva loved her role as grandmother to Ethan, Emersyn, Sean, Rachel, Kyle and Logan, who all grieve the loss of their Oma. Eva is also survived by her younger sister Inga Hilbich (Heiner) with sons (Soeren & Ole) in Germany.
Eva maintained close contact with her German cousins Wolfgang Severing (Claudia) and Fritz Becker (Heide) and their growing families and with numerous friends in Germany and across the US.
Eva also loved her church family. She was a member of the choir of St. Mary’s Church for many years, and for a while led the Altar Guild, chaired the Table Hoppers activity, was a Eucharistic Visitor, and volunteered for the local hospice group.
A memorial service will take place at St. Mary’s Church on December 31st, 2025. Her earthly remains will be interred at a later date in the Lippincott section of West Laurel Cemetery outside Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in
loving memory of Eva may be sent to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 623 SE Ocean Boulevard, Stuart, FL 34994 for the benefit of the Altar Guild.
