

He was born in Brooklyn, NY. Fred was a graduate of Newtown High School in Queens and studied at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn before and after the 2nd world war, when he served in the United States Navy in the Pacific from Oct.1942 till March of 1946.
He worked at J. Walter Thompson Advertising Co. in New York City, where he was a creative director and senior vice president.
He leaves his loving family; his wife of 61 years Marie Kittel and daughters Louise Kittel Mason and her husband Jerome of New York City, NY, and Janice Carl and her husband Reinhard and grandson Christopher of Heidelberg, Germany.
Coming from Northport, NY to Florida in 1989, he was a resident of Jensen Beach and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Stuart, FL.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
